We are very excited to announce that we have now opened applications for people to apply to be on the brand new board of the new independent CAG organisation. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone who feels passionately about the CAG project to get more involved and help the network to develop and grow.
The board of directors will have oversight of the organisation, make key decisions to help steer the strategic direction and be responsible for supporting staff on operational matters.
What we are looking for
- People with a love and passion for the CAG network, and experience being in a CAG group.
- Specific skills and experience in organisational management and strategic development preferred, such as: financial management, administration, HR, health & safety, meeting facilitation, writing funding bids etc.
- Diverse representation – its important to us that our board represents a diverse range of members from the CAG network. From age to gender and race to location, we want to ensure a wide range of views are heard and represented. We particularly encourage applications from people from groups that face structural oppression such as racism, sexism or ableism.
- You must be over 18 and a member of a CAG group to apply.
As well as being able to support and steer the wonderful CAG Project, we will offer board members initial training on cooperative governance, as well as ongoing training opportunities. Board members will also be given the opportunity to join a bank of paid associates who can take on specific project work within the organisation.
More information and application form to join the board here. Application deadline: 9am 29th May.
Please call any Henry on 07903 037 290 if you have any questions or would like to discuss whether joining the board could be a good option for you.
