Incredible Edible Oxford
Inspired by Incredible Edible Todmorden, Incredible Edible Oxford was set up in 2013, our founder having lived in Todmorden for the previous 5 years.
We are a group of locals who are excited by growing edible plants for various functions, and love inspiring others to do the same.
We work in collaboration with Good Food Oxford, local charities, the council, local gardening groups and food enterprises across the city and county to improve access to local food.
Our aim is to empower people to grow their own food and share their skills and knowledge in different communities.
Everyone has to eat. We believe growing food is a great way to bring people together.
We work with the City Council and volunteers to create edible beds in parks across the city. We encourage and assist others to plant up their front-garden, back-garden, tree planters, schools, window boxes or balcony. When we think outside the box almost any space has the potential to grow food for people.
If you’d like to volunteer with us at one of our community beds or know of an unused space we could begin growing at, please get in touch or say hello at one of our workshops.
We enjoy teaching and sharing our knowledge and skills around growing, permaculture and sustainable design and other associated areas. We work with anyone who would like to learn or grow their skills in these areas.
We run a design and consultancy project that helps people to grow their own food in whatever sized space they have available, be it a window box or a ten-acre field. Find out more.
