They welcome new volunteers and offer an easily accessible way of getting involved in climate action whether your interest lies in biodiversity, waste reduction, food surplus, community cohesion or active transport. ABINGDON COMMUNITY FRIDGE

Food surplus

Abingdon Community Fridge helps fight food waste by providing education on food storage and cooking. Additionally, we collect food from local businesses and redistribute it to members of the community, primarily through three weekly open sessions.

Abundance Oxford is a not-for-profit community harvesting, redistributing & preserving collective.

Beautiful Barton is a resident led group that aims to improve the natural environment of Barton to make it a better place for wildlife and people to live.

Bicester Green is a Centre for skills, sustainability and second hand stuff. We operate by taking donations of materials that would have otherwise gone to waste and use them as a catalyst for learning in our workshops.

BIOABUNDANCE

Biodiversity / Nature Recovery

Bioabundance members are engaged through a website, face to face and on line meetings and updates via Email in matters affecting the rural nature of Oxfordshire, issues relating to local nature and the wider climate crisis, signposting to various related organisations, and participating in council and government consultations. They also has an active WhatsApp group for members to share and discuss information.
