The Food Surplus Collaborate meeting is an opportunity for Community Action Groups (CAGs) involved in projects that work with food surplus to meet up, share and find ways of working together.
The meeting is open to members of the CAG network, as well as other associated, like-minded groups and organisations. We also moderate theme mailing lists for CAGs to communicate with each other between meetings.
As a large network spread across the county, the meetings are an important chance for CAGs to:
- Discover more about other groups’ activities and achievements
- Share knowledge and skills
- Explore opportunities for collaborative projects and funding bids
- Gain advice and support from The CAG Project staff and other members
- Network and socialise with other members
Meetings are held biannually across a range of themes – please see our page on Collaborate Groups for more details on next meetings of all the groups.
If you are a member of a group wishing to take part in this meeting then please get in touch with The CAG Project staff team: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you’re attending, please let us know in advance if you have any accessibility requirements, or if you aren’t sure how best to travel to the venue. Email us email@example.com and we’ll do our very best to help.
The St Nic’s local produce and craft market is back! Every Friday morning between 11am and 1pm there will be stall in the little garden at the top of Stert Street (in the church if wet) selling fresh veg, local eggs, home-baked cakes and preserves, plants, seedlings and flowers.
Go early to get the best selection!
Even more important, if you have any produce to sell, you can do so at the market provided you collect the money and any unsold items promptly at 1pm, and donate 10% of the takings to St Nicolas Church funds. To join the happy band of producers, email Gilly Osborne firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are very happy to support this well-established venture bringing excellent, incredibly fresh local food right into the centre of town. Please help make it a success!

Everyone is welcome to join in and turn Kidlington’s surplus apples and pears into delicious juice to take away at the Methodist Church Fun Day. If you have fruit you can’t use yourself, bring it along. If you don’t have fruit, just come and join the fun.
Clean empty wine bottles with screw caps would also be welcomed.
If you can’t make it this time there are other events in Sep & Oct.
