About Replenish Project
The Replenish project aims to reduce the amount of organic waste which lands in the bins by giving Oxfordshire residents skills related to home composting and reducing food waste. The project relies on a network of volunteers, trained in a wide range of skills from cutting down food waste and cooking with surplus food to making and using home-made compost in your garden, to share their skills with people in their communities through public engagement activities such as information stalls, practical skills workshops, long-term projects (e.g. setting up a community fridge), information conversations, etc. For more information, see the project website, Facebook page and Twitter account.
You will coordinate the Replenish Project on behalf of and working in partnership with the Community Action Group Oxfordshire team and Oxford County Council. This will focus on: volunteer support to deliver public engagement activities and projects on the food waste hierarchy; developing training opportunities; and internal and external communications to support the project.
Nature and scope
Project management of the Replenish project as outlined in the project contract and timeline including:
- Supporting volunteers to deliver local projects and practical engagement activities on food waste and composting,
- Organising training programmes for volunteers on food waste, composting and engagement approaches,
- Developing and delivering project communications,
- Coordinating resources for the project,
- Maintaining a good relationship with Oxfordshire County Council and other delivery partners,
- Managing project budget,
- Monitoring and evaluation,
- Supporting the CAG Project in Oxfordshire.
