Can you help the CAG Oxfordshire Network by becoming a board member?

Do you have some time and energy that you want to contribute to an innovative organisation working on local climate action?

The Community Action Groups (CAG) Oxfordshire Network consists of around 70 different community groups and social enterprises across Oxfordshire, working together with a bunch of great partners and collaborators, all supported by a small but effective staff team.

In the face of the climate emergency, this thriving network is building an Oxfordshire with resilient and empowered communities, working together so that people and planet can thrive within ecological limits.

With interest in and energy for climate action at an all-time high – we’re looking to further develop our pioneering work supporting community-led change in Oxfordshire. We need new board members with a diversity of experiences and skills who can help guide our strategy as an organisation, support our staff team, and help us creatively navigate the many opportunities and challenges ahead of us.  We are seeking to recruit at least 2 new board members, including a co-chair.

We’re very open to hearing from people with a wide range and levels of experience, and different sorts of skills. Perhaps you have some experience winning or managing grant funding, experience working as part of grassroots networks, or you’ve got useful contacts with partners/funders/institutions locally? Maybe you have some experience supporting or managing a staff team, working in partnerships, or you’re a strategic thinker?

Interested? You can find out more about CAG Oxfordshire and the roles of board member and co-chair in the recruitment pack.

Being a board member is an unpaid, voluntary role. However, board members will benefit from annual training sessions, and reasonable expenses will be paid.

The closing date for applications to info@cagoxfordshire.org.uk is 24 November 2019.  Please see the recruitment pack for more details about what we’re looking for and how to apply. If you have queries that are not covered in the pack, please contact the team on the same email address ahead of your application.

Thank you so much if you are interested in contributing to CAG Oxfordshire’s work!
