With interest in and energy for climate action at an all-time high, we’re looking to further develop our pioneering work supporting community-led change in Oxfordshire.
We’re looking for an energetic, organised and resourceful person to join our staff team. The new team member will provide support and network facilitation in our growing network of community action groups across Oxfordshire. The network collaborates to build an Oxfordshire with resilient and empowered communities, so that people and planet can thrive within ecological limits.
You’ll have experience in supporting grassroots groups or social enterprises and know your way around supporting a network. You’ll have a collaborative attitude, and a head for using and developing systems and processes. We’d also like you to have an appreciation of the day-to-day struggles that small community groups, social enterprises, and charities face.
We’re a small, dedicated team, motivated by our belief in the power of well-connected community-led action. We work flexibly, trying to bring people together to find skillful solutions, and trying to respond quickly to take opportunities that others might miss. We’d love you to be the kind of person who’s happy giving things a go and learning from their mistakes, and is comfortable drawing on the skills and resources available around them.
If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you.
This role is part-time. Ideally we are looking for someone who can work for 4 days a week to help us meet the growing interest in our work, though we are open to discussing how a 3 day option could work for us and you. Exact days and hours worked over the week are negotiable with the Lead Co-ordinator. You must be willing to work evenings and weekends where required as a number of the meetings and events we support occur at these times. The role will generally be based out of our office in Makespace Oxford, but with some flexibility to work from home by agreement with the Lead Co-ordinator.
Full details are available in the recruitment pack.
