CAG Project Scoops Community Awards

The Community Action Group (CAG) Project scooped up four awards out of 16 shortlisted entries at the 2016 Oxfordshire Community Voluntary Action (OCVA), Charity and Community Awards. The awards ceremony, held on the 11th of May at the Oxford Town Hall, celebrated the county’s thriving community sector.

Ten groups were recognised, as well the CAG Project itself. The nominations and awards were as follows:

Best New Group Award:

Winner – Oxford Food Surplus Cafe

Innovation Award:

Winner – FarmAbility

Environmental Award:

Winner – Rose Hill & Iffley Low Carbon     

Shortlisted – Banbury CAG; Sustainable Wantage

Best Community Project:

Winner: CAG Project

Shortlisted: Sandford Talking Shop, Monday Shop

Working Together Award:

Shortlisted: Bicester Green

Best Team of Volunteers:

Shortlisted – Dean Court Community Association; Sandford Talking Shop; Broken Spoke Bike Coop;

Oxford Food Surplus Cafe

Lifetime Achievement Award:

Shortlisted: CAG Project

Charity of the Year Award:

Shortlisted: Sustainable Wantage
