It’s the time of year when we celebrate the humble pumpkin and “squash food waste” by encouraging people to eat rather than discard their Halloween pumpkin’s flesh! The message is simple: Carve it, Cook it, Eat it – Don’t bin it!
The Pumpkin Festival can help elevate promotion of your events beyond the usual crowd. It’s also great time of year to engage with newcomers to Oxford with the university students returning; bringing people who are often keen to make new friends and find new interests and who could be valuable new volunteers.
But we need your events to make up the ‘pumpkin meat’ of the festival! Would you be interested in putting on an event this year? This year’s dates are 28th October to 5th November 2017.
Good Food Oxford are working with the CAG Project and Oxford City Council to offer groups:
- Social media and online promotions for your events
- Recipe flyers to use at your events
- Posters and publicity materials
- Campaign pack of resources
Please email Hannah Fenton from Good Food Oxford if you are interested put on an event.
