SESI is a social enterprise which supplies organic, fair-trade and local food and sustainable, locally made detergents in people’s own containers. Whilst cutting on food waste and industrial recycling of packaging, we also wish to democratise food to make it affordable to the majorities, because we believe that real food and sustainability are not a luxury of the middle classes. To make the impact we aim at, everyone needs to be involved.
Facts about SESI:
- Percentage of organic food we sell is 90%. Percentage of locally produced food we sell is about 40%
- Growing horizontally and becoming financially sustainable. By buying some of our new products directly from the producers, we are now able to lower prices for customers so that more people can refill, we are increasing our sales; our surplus grows too, which means that we can re-inject hard earned funds into broadening our product list, branching out with partnerships and reaching financial sustainability.
