The Great British Bike Off is an alternative, customised bike festival that will be held on Saturday 21st Octoberl, 12-4pm in Oxford City Centre. It is a celebration of creativity, culture and of course… cycling!
It will offer individuals and groups the opportunity to: restore abandoned unrideable bikes, customise their own bicycles and enter them in a competition, show off existing products or previously customised bicycles and join hundreds of other special bikes on a city-centre ride/ parade.
The Bike Off hopes to create a fun, engaging event for families and people from all backgrounds – and to be a real spectacle of the weird and wonderful! The event will aim to strengthen community cohesion in Oxfordshire by bringing different groups together from all over the county; encourage more people to cycle, address health inequalities and promote safer cycling.
Proceeds from the event will go to Ark-T Centre who are committed to creating space for artists to develop their own vocation in a liberating environment that encourages mutual collaboration, understanding and involvement in the local and wider community.
See the Facebook event for further details and updates.
