Roll up, roll up for a night of fun. Sustainable Wallingford is holding a barn dance on Saturday 25th February in the Great Hall at Cholsey Meadows, featuring popular local band, Traction, with their caller Pete North. Don’t worry if you don’t know your Canadian Barn dance from your Dashing White Sergent, the caller will keep you right.
Come as a family, come with friends, make up a group – the more the merrier. There will be an interval to catch your breath and eat supper provided from the South Oxfordshire Food Education Alliance (SOFEA). Local beers and fair trade wines will be available at fair prices, as well as soft drinks.
Start time is 6.30 pm. bring the young ‘uns and take them home when they are tired. Tickets include food, and cost £12 for adults, £8 for under 16s, students, and over 65s, and a family ticket (2 + 2 under 16) costs £35, under 5s free.
