Rose Hill, Oxford OX4 4HF
The two-day event, sponsored by Freeths, is designed for council officers, transport planners, politicians and campaigners. It features a range of keynote speakers – including design and sustainable transport expert, Lynn Sloman; and cycling tsar and former cycling commissioner for London, Andrew Gilligan – but the emphasis of the event will be on discussion and debate across a wide range of workshops throughout the conference programme. Workshop subjects include: inclusive cycling, funding, local cycling and walking infrastructure plans (LCWIPs), changing travel behaviour, workplace cycling initiatives, Bikeability, effective campaigning, the role of social media, the application of cycling research, and the role of cargo bikes and e-bikes in urban environments. These workshops, led by national and local experts, are designed to inform but also to enable discussion and debate.
Please note Friday is at Rose Hill Community Centre and Saturday is at Cheney School.
You can find the full programme along with information about the workshop leaders here: http://www.cyclox.org.
